Aesthetic medicine and stars

Aesthetic medicine becomes more and more powerful. Numerous possibilities are offered to make you look younger, to improve your aspect, even to modify it considerably. It’s completely normal that there be abuses, since it’s not easy to discern the limits and the risks of side effects of such or such other intervention. To avoid asking too much from science, or from his own body, it’s necessary, to know what we want. It is almost a philosophic question. What is the value which we want to grant to our aesthetic aspect? How much does it interact with our psychology, our self esteem, our ease in relations with our fellows? There are variables susceptible to change enormously according to the individual, his psychological profile, his emotional or professional life. If my profession often exposes me at the public (journalist, desk clerk, etc.), my aspect will be all the more important.

Still, ethics play a considerable role. It’s necessary to question oneself. What is the importance which I grant to friendship, to personal relations? My outside aspect should be kept in just consideration: on one hand, making it more pleasant is not enough to change profoundly my relations with my fellow men; on the other hand, a younger or improved aspect can facilitate them in a way which varies according to the person, its value system, his situation.
